Wine and movie – Etyek
Etyek is a little Hungarian village, the youngest and fastest developing wine region in Hungary, and the closest one to Budapest. Wine making even so has got its traditions, moreover, the grape grown here serve as base material for the Hungarian Champagne, “Törley” for more, than 100 years. This tour offers not only a great countryside experience, but the possibility to taste some quality Hungarian wine, to see traditional vineyards and wine cellars, to meet with friendly local winemakers, and experience the authentic, warm Hungarian countryside hospitality. Etyek is also home to Alexander Korda Filmstudio, where you can learn the secrets of filmmaking. Since its opening in 2007, the Korda Studio film complex has provided world-class studio facilities for international movie projects, such as the historical TV series “The Borgias,” the TV adaptation of Ken Follett’s best-selling novel “The Pillar of the Earth,” and the fantasy film “Hellboy 2.” Visit the new visitor’s center, and enjoy a private guided tour to see movie sets and scenery. The interactive theme park also features exhibits on movie making, a camera obscura, and a peek into the secrets of optical illusions and visual effects.
